What we say
As far away from WeHo as you can get.
This rouge-lite bar offers an alternative to the bare chested WeHo boys. The deer head on the wall wears sunglasses.

For my 46th b-day, my boyfriend and I wanted to down a few drinks and bust a few moves. The only nearby place I could think of was this place I new not the name of or the flavor of. We were ID'd at the door and promptly served at the bar and pulled in further by the spun music. There was a nice mix of mostly young loft dwellers. We downed our drinks and hit the dance floor. Being 2 guys, closely dancing together, we felt comfortable. The dj played some great eighties classics and everyone danced. We quenched our thirst with 24 oz PBR and back to the floor. We had a damn good time. We felt welcomed. All the staff was prompt and professional. We will go back.

My Boyfriend and I felt such fools going to bar 101 thinking it was gay.
We even asked someone and they laughed that they had never known it to be gay.
It cost us $40 to get out of there fast in a taxi to a proper gay bar!!!

If your looking for a gay bar/club in Downtown then your better off going somewhere else. Bar 107 for the most part is not gay. As someome who lives across the street from this place can tell you, this place is a total Bro hang out!

It has an edgy neighborhood feel. Very down to earth. Young crowd. I just didn't get any kind of queer vibe about it.

Bar 107, in Downtown LA is awesome... having seen it before the make-over, totally impressive now... unlike how other bars can be... Bar 107 has a great crowd who are down to earth... and friendly... which is hard to come by out in LA. The ambiance is friendly and vibrant. They play great music and the drinks are mixed well and cost efficient, sweet!! Great place to go hang out and be yourself no matter what color, sex, orientation you are!.. More bars/clubs should be this way. GOOD JOB GUYS! ---
