Will Rogers State Beach

(50 Ratings)
LA's Gay Beach
Affectionately known as "Ginger Rogers," Will Rogers Beach has become the unofficial gay sand spot, with most weekends packed with sun-seekers. Aside from the eye candy, there are also a number of volleyball courts, as well as a snack shack, and plenty of nearby parking. Note that Will Rogers Beach is at 17700 Pacific Coast Highway but the gay part of the beach is at 14801 Pacific Coast Highway.

How to find this place

The beach is in Santa Monica (NOT LA). Do not set your nav to the address of Will Rogers. Instead go to the parking lot just at the end of Entrada Drive. Make a left going north, a right going south. Area around lifeguard stand #16 is the gay beach. I wish someone would have posted this earlier as it took me almost a day to find this beach. Once on it, many hot guys in super hot swimwear! A must on a sunny day.

Summerland Beach

Based on the time of year and the tide, this can either be a sandy or rocky refuge from the LA beaches, but a few trips will provide that information. Dogs and horses are seen as a a few nude beach goers (during high tide when walking is limited). Exit at Summerland, go over the freeway and part at Loon Point. Due to fog, this beach is best from July through April.
