FRIDAY APRIL 5:

Guest curated by Elizabeth Ferrer, Director of Contemporary Art at BRIC Arts|Media|Bklyn, this traveling exhibition is on view at Venice Arts Gallery as an official exhibition of MOPLA (Month of Photography • Los Angeles).
This national traveling exhibition highlights a plurality of photographic visions from 56 artists affiliated with the New York- based nonprofit En Foco over the past four decades. The En Foco Permanent Collection numbers over 750 images and objects by photographers of Latino, African, Asian and Native American heritage, creating the only collection in the U.S. with the same focus.
Venice Arts is particularly excited to host this exhibition because En Foco’s dedication to promoting cultural diversity in the field of photography closely mirrors its mission to foster opportunities for underrepresented communities to create and share stories through photography, film, and multi-media.

En Foco/In Focus is made possible thanks to funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Nathan Cummings Foundation, Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation, the Bronx Council on the Arts, Canson Infinity, Archival Methods, Light Work, and many En Foco patrons and friends. It takes a village.
