The HRW LA Film Club is honored to host the Los Angeles premiere of the award-winning documentary, Food Chains (Eva Longoria, Executive Producer) at the Ann and Jerry Moss Theater at New Roads School. This film explores critical human rights issues in American agriculture from wage theft to modern-day slavery and exposes the powers that perpetuate these un-American violations of human dignity.
Food Chains director, Sanjay Rawal will moderate a panel discussion after the screening with the film's producer, Smriti Keshari, Lucas Benitez, Co-Founder of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), Grace Meng, HRW Researcher in the US Program, and David Damian Figueroa, Vice President of Development and Communications, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF).
