The Latino/a Queer Arts & Film Festival (LQAFF), presented by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the LQAFF Advisory Board, is proud to announce its first inaugural full lineup for the dates of April 10-April 13, 2014. The 2014 program includes documentaries, U.S. and international shorts, a feature length film, art installations, and a series of performance pieces that map the intersections and complexities of Latina/o, queerness, bodies, and desire.
Alongside the films, art, and performances, this four-day celebration of art and film will include a launch party, food, music, networking opportunities, and Q&As with filmmakers and featured cast members. Films selected to screen at the LQAFF will be shown out of competition. Our festival is made possible by contributions by HBO, The Latino Print Network and Frame Monster.
LQAFF is dedicated to showcasing the stories of queer, trans, two-spirited, Latin@, Chican@, and brown identities through film and visual arts in a space that builds on our rich and diverse cultural history, so we are excited to present the extraordinary selections we have received this year.
