This winner of Best in Show will have their name etched into history on the Regiment's Perpetual Trophy. This is very impressive, you will have your picture taken many time so be ready and be treated like the King/Queen that you have always dreamed of!
What You Need to Know to Enter The Chili Cook Off:
There is NO Entry FEE. You will need to bring 2 to 3 gallons of your chili, a crock-pot to keep your chili warm. Any additional items: cheese, sour cream, onions and any fun decoration you wish to create your Martha Steward experience with. PLEASE, if asked, you should be able to tell how you made it and what ingredients are in it. This is important because some people have food allergies.
You need to bring warm or well heated/hot chili. Please note most crock-pots take an hour or better to totally heat an item, we do not have the time or a microwave to heat your chili for you. You may set up your Chili display any time after 2:20pm. PLEASE BE ON TIME!!!!!
This event opens to the public at 3:00 P.M. SHARP be ready!
The Regiment will provide the following: Table space with red and white cloths (about a 24 in x 30 in space), small ladles, small cups to put chili in, napkins and spoons and power cords. A certificate of participation will be given to those who participate. (The certificate is suitable for framing, showing your name, event and location for entering this year's contest.)
