Bicep bring their infamous Feel My Bicep party to the US for the very first time.
Belfast born and London based, Bicep - Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson have been making a name for themselves since the inception of their infamous blog “Feel My Bicep” as far back as 2008. A go-to place for the best in lost and forgotten disco, Chicago house, Detroit techno, Italo edits and everything in-between. The blog highlights the duos in depth and eclectic knowledge of electronic music and offers a mere glimpse as to what to expect when witnessing this highly sought after act DJ. Their impeccable track selection and DJ’ing skills have seen them consistently feature in the highly revered RA Top 100 DJ poll for the past few years. Away from the decks, their productions have seen them release on highly revered labels such as Throne of Blood, Aus, Stash, Tief Music as well as starting their own Feel My Bicep imprint. Not ones to lock themselves away in the studio, they’ve opened the door to collaborations with Simian Mobile Disco for the Detroit tinged track “Sacrifice” and Midland for a white label release of “D-Mil”. On the party front, they’ve taken their infamous “Feel My Bicep” events to London, Barcelona, Ibiza and NYC to name a few with guests including Todd Terje, Trevino, Genius of Time and Kim Ann Foxman.
On Friday March 20th, they bring FMB to LA in fine style with a true figurehead of the scene, Omar S. An uncompromising force in house and techno, this Detroit native has helped shape the scene with his highly revered and respected record label, FXHE. Since it’s inception in 2001 Omar has managed all aspects of it personally. Serving as a platform to put his own releases out and as a base for emerging Detroit artists. It’s been credited as helping to launch the careers of Seth Troxler, Kyle Hall, Jus-Ed and Luke Hess.
LA house aficionados Heidi Lawden and fellow highly respected former blogger Lovefingers are in to open the room and set the tempo in their own inimitable style.
