ABOUT SHYBOY
ShyBoy is a singer/songwriter, producer and DJ/mashup artist. The Huffington Post notes that he ”casts a fresh, intelligent spell over the indie pop landscape." BuzzBands.LA says his versatility is "wonderfully dramatic." Sinewy rhythms and bold sonic colors surround his deftly melodic vocals. Some of his songs shimmer against a backdrop of city nightlife while others settle in quietly amongst the stars.
On his new album Lost In Space, ShyBoy presents a compelling playlist of songs that complete a concept arc that began with his debut LP Water On Mars. “If Water on Mars was about escaping and losing yourself amongst the stars, then Lost In Space is about finding yourself - and making the journey home,” ShyBoy muses about the two recordings.
Winner of the Hollywood Music In Media Award for Best Male Vocal, ShyBoy is a recurring resident at The Hotel Café in Hollywood and a resident DJ/vocalist at Bootie LA at The Echoplex in Los Angeles. His songs have been placed in numerous hit TV shows, films and video games including ABC's Super Fun Night, CW's America's Next Top Model and Capcom's multi-platinum game Devil May Cry 4 (end title).
The multi-faceted artist has remixed recordings for icons such as Donna Summer, Beyoncé and Whitney Houston, co-written/produced five original singles with RuPaul (for the hit VH1/Logo show RuPaul's Drag Race) and collaborated with a multitude of artists including SilmKid3 (of the renowned alternative hip-hop group The Pharcyde), Nicole Scherzinger (of The Pussycat Dolls), Grammy-winning songwriter Allee Willis, Saturn Award-winning television writer/producer Bryan Fuller and Emmy-winning composer Jim Dooley.

ABOUT KAT ROBICHAUD
Meet Kat Robichaud and The Darling Misfits, a band that channels Amanda Palmer’s theatrical brand of rock along with echoes of past glam greats – ’70s Bowie, Roxy Music, T.Rex, etc. The group’s eponymous debut LP is out now and contains some of the most grandiose sonic arrangements you’ll most likely hear all year, from circus march opener “The Elephant Song” to the epic, mournful ballad “Why Do You Love Me Now?” Robichaud has an incredible voice that effortlessly balances everything from razor wit (the cocky, satiric “Rockstars Don’t Apologize”) to raw emotion (the bittersweet “The Long Kiss Goodnight”), and the Darling Misfits completely nail the nuances of bombastic, arena-sized rock n’ roll that would make Queen proud.
As great as her songs about love and heartbreak are, Kat is at her best when railing against gender inequality, tackling pervasive double-standards and archaic perceptions of beauty. “You’ve made an awful lot of money manufacturing insecurity,” she sings on “Definition of Pretty,” her voice dripping with acid as she calls out the media for poisoning the self-esteem of countless women with impossible physical standards featured on corporate magazines, TV shows, advertisements, basically everywhere you turn in a society obsessed with pop culture. It’s vitriolic and cathartic and funny and just one reason among many why you need to listen to Kat Robichaud. -Nicholas Schneider, The Bay Bridged
Drawing on the momentum from a top 10 spot on NBC's The Voice--as well as nearly a decade of experience in the music industry and a sensationally successful Kickstarter--she just released a glam rock explosion of an album self-titled "Kat Robichaud and The Darling Misfits" and relocated from Raleigh, NC to San Francisco. Within 8 months, she has graced the stage of The Chapel, Brick and Mortar, DNA Lounge, Boom Boom Room, Oakland Metro, Hotel Utah, Neck of the Woods, and Oasis, and has been featured in SF Chronicle, SF Weekly, and The Bay Bridged.
"Kat’s voice is this delicious raspalicious combination of Janis Joplin with a bit of raw Alecia Moore (a.k.a. Pink) and a dose of Brandi Carlile. Adam says her name should be “Raspy McRasperson.” CeeLo, in a subdued Thriller-era Michael Jackson jacket, “You engulfed me, you set me on fire.”-Jennifer Arellano, Entertainment Weekly
"Kat struts around the stage like a bat out of hell, kicks higher than Shaft and whips her hair back and forth like Willow Smith."- Ashley Woods, Huffington Post
"Kat, who totally awesomely arrived at her Blind Audition wearing striped Quiet Riot pants delivered some of the most fearless, most rawkin' performances of Season 5."- Lyndsey Parker, Yahoo TV
