USC Korean Culture Night Productions cordially invites you to our 4th annual culture night!
This year, our show will adventure back to the classic Korean folktale of Gyunwoo and Jiknyeo (견우와 직녀) with our own twist as we intertwine the characters' paths with pivotal moments in Korean history. With a new spin at an old folklore, we have the opportunity to balance tradition and innovation, not only through the story we tell, but as a student organization based so closely to the heart of Koreatown, Los Angeles.
Through this production, we want to send a message that will resonate with our audience, no matter what background they may come from -- and by exploring the universality embedded in the folktale of Gyunwoo and Jiknyeo, we believe our characters will be able to do just that.
