Join us for a very special evening with Canadian author, activist, and filmmaker Naomi Klein, one of the leading critics of corporate globalization and capitalism. In a fascinating and provocative lecture, Klein will illuminate the critical importance of addressing economics in any effort to preserve the future of our planet.
A member of the board of directors of 350.org, a global grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis, and a former Miliband Fellow at the London School of Economics, Klein is consistently listed as one of the most influential thinkers of our time. In 2004, her reporting from Iraq for Harper’s won the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism. In 2014 she received the International Studies Association’s IPE Outstanding Activist-Scholar Award, and in 2015 she received the Izzy Award honoring outstanding achievement in independent journalism and media.
Bringing a rare clarity and big-picture view to economics, Naomi Klein will ask us to reflect deeply on the connections between the market and the planet—and what roles we can play in creating a just, sustainable future for all.
