What Is It:
A hit in San Francisco, SPEECHLESS is a satirical antidote to the era of TED Talks, iProduct launches and PowerPoint culture... as presenters live out their worst nightmare: giving a presentation with absolutely no preparation. The show puts entertainers, entrepreneurs, and audience members on the spot with just a PowerPoint deck full of images that they've never seen and a topic determined at random by a spinning wheel. Topics can be a TED talk, a new app being launched, a staff orientation, even a wedding toast. Armed only with a slideshow clicker, presenters do their best to get through their talk, while attempting to leave the audience Speechless.
Who's Behind It
Created by Sammy Wegent, and Produced in LA Scott Lifton of MORTIFIED, Jamie Flam of The Improv, Anthony Veneziale of hip hop improv sensation Freestyle Love Supreme.
What the Critics Say
"At some point in their lives, most people have the "unprepared" dream. That's the one where you show up for the interview naked, can't tie your own shoelaces, or begin the presentation for the boss only to realize you don't have a clue what it's about. Sounds more like a nightmare than a dream, but Speechless takes this concept and turns it into entertainment." -Devon Holt, SF Weekly
