THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE, 1971, 103 min. Dir. Emilio Miraglia
After the death of his redheaded wife Evelyn, an English lord succumbs to a metal breakdown. Instead of drinking away his sorrows, he instead scours the countryside looking for redheaded doppelgangers of his lost lover. Taking them back to his decaying castle, he first seduces them. When they don't live up to the standards of Evelyn he then tortures and finally murders the women. Mixing Edgar Allan Poe inspired Gothic horror with the Italian gialli, THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE is a full on perverse descent into madness and redhead fetishism.
