It’s the night before a make-or-break championship soccer match, the pressure is high, and rising-star teammates Jason (Russell Tovey, HBO’s Looking) and Ade (Arinzé Kene, Freestyle) have an encounter in their hotel room that leads to irrevocable consequences. Debut director Ben A. Williams’s taut, engrossing chamber drama is split into three acts spanning more than a decade; as time passes, tension and vulnerabilities intensify while secret desires are buried deeper.
