NOTE: The owner of el Coyote donated $100 to Yes on Prop 8 and they were targeted for a boycott. She, and the openly gay manager, are donating money to our causes and taking out ads in the papers to show their support. Read more

The owner of this restaurant recently donated to the Yes on 8 campaign to deny gay couples the right to marry. Despite the fact that the place has made $$ off its significant gay patrons for years. The food has never been good (tastes like frozen patio dinners). The atmosphere is what ppl went for. This will be lacking too once marjorie halversson's role FOR Prop 8 gets out in west hollywood gay circles.

This food is mediocre, drinks are weak in a blah setting! For a city only a few hours from the actual border of Mexico- there are far better places to try for Mexican food.

Probably our favorite Mexican Restaraunt ever. The food is good with a great price. We've had several Birthday celebrations here because we knew our guests would love the place. The staff are wonderful. El Cotote is a haven for the well known and the not so well known. Its trendy while having that down home feel.
