What we say
Cozy neighborhood bistro
Small but charming, Cafe Stella is a favorite Silverlake meet-up spot for French fare, wine and drinks. The menu serves up excellently prepared items like lavender-scented free range chicken breasts, grilled duck and seared escolar. The candlelit patio is a great spot for intimate conversation.

My boyfriend treated me to a delicious, romantic dinner at Cafe Stella. It's a restaurant I've always wanted to try but strayed away because of the expensive menu. Although prices are high, the quality is outstanding. We shared a steak tartar appetizer and both had the Coq au Vin (chicken for those who don't speak French). We ended the night with a warm bread pudding topped with cool vanilla ice cream. The evening was relaxing and our waitress was delightful. I would return to Cafe Stella any day.

No street number or name visible from Sunset Blvd. All I could see was Cheese Store, or something. However, once found and inside, the food was excellent, the service was efficient, the wine from Provence was delightful, and the ambience was comfortable. Not very many gay people, though, only four tables were identifiable as gay out of 15 or so.
So, what do you say?
