The newest hotel on the L.A. scene has made quite an impression with 305 stylish oversized rooms. With the property situated in the center of Hollywood nightlife (and pretty equidistant between WeHo and Silver Lake), there's plenty to do outside the building, too.
worst W hotel in the world!
I do love W hotels as well: been to NYC, Chicago, San Diego, Atlanta but this one is not the one... Bar patio has horrible and lazy waitresses so as bartenders, they're so Hollywood, they forget who pays them... Rooms are great but don't expect to get any sleep: there are gonna be stupid bimbo girls and their bfs yelling coming out of Drai's every night until 3-4 am. If you forget your room key, good luck getting through dickheads by the front door in the hotel entrance at night: if you didn't drive up in expensive car, they won't let you in the lobby :-/ what can I say? W Hollywood sucks. My choice is Rebury hotel across the street
Cool, Hip, New...But Beware
I'm a huge fan of the W chain, having stayed in ones in NYC, Honolulu, Chicago, San Diego, etc. But the new W Hollywood, while as hip and cool and sleek as the best of them, handed over their lobby and rooftop bars to a third-party company and getting into them is next to impossible, even as a hotel guest. Scores of security, lines, check-points and attitude, turns the hotel into a nightmare in the evening. Go play somewhere else but enjoy the comfortable rooms and friendlier daytime service.
