RED BULL SOUND SELECT PRESENTS: LOS ANGLES MONTHLY SHOWCASE
On October 25, Red Bull Sound Select Presents: Los Angeles will continue its monthly showcase at the Troubadour featuring headliner Hercules and Love Affair with exciting local bands Oh Boy Les Mecs and Rare Times. The show is all ages and tickets are $3 for those who RSVP by 6 p.m. on the day of the show (up to capacity), and $12 at the door without an RSVP, with all proceeds going back to support the opening local bands.
This is an exciting show as it will mark Hercules and Love Affair's first Los Angeles venue performance since April 2010.
THE BACKLINE
Red Bull Sound Select Presents events are only the beginning. Red Bull Sound Select artists will have the opportunity to perform at more than 100 shows across the U.S. this year, including marquee festivals like Lollapalooza, Voodoo Festival, Riot Fest, Pitchfork Music Festival and many more. As part of the program, artists have access to Red Bull’s global network of recording studios, performance opportunities at festivals, bookings through Red Bull partners, and valuable support on content production and distribution from Red Bull Media House. The Red Bull Sound Select digital platform will roll out new product features and strategic partnerships throughout the year allowing artists and fans to experience and support new music, and better connect online and offline while giving fans a true voice in the success of the Red Bull Sound Select artists. The Los Angeles showcases are curated in partnership with three of the city’s most influential industry tastemakers, including Filter Magazine, IAMSOUND and MFG Productions.
In past months, Red Bull Sound Select Presents: Los Angeles has curated shows featuring artists: Wildcat! Wildcat!, Oddience, Beach Party, Mystery Skulls, Gliss, Tapioca and the Flea, Incan Abraham, HOTT MT, Hands, Harper Blynn, Cillie Barnes, Bad Suns, NO, White Rainbow and James Supercave. Show headliners have included Zola Jesus, Flume, Wavves, DIIV, Com Truise, Frightened Rabbit and YACHT.
