A multi-sensory, erotic tone poem taking place in the 1990’s NYC queer scene, “Devon’s Diary" follows a young artist’s darkly-comedic downward spiral, initiated by her mother’s death—and the subsequent request by her girlfriend to open their previously monogamous relationship.
Equipped onstage with a laptop, MIDI keyboard controller and a set of speakers, protagonist/performer Devon provides the audience with an intimate glimpse into her creative process, sharing her innermost thoughts and feelings as she weaves sound design and musical performance with semi-autobiographical narrative storytelling and spoken word poetry.
