John Cantwell's multi-media dance comedy thriller, "Love, Connie" is an homage to the films of Brian DePalma and Dario Argento as well as their respective soundtracks by Pino Donaggio, Bernard Herrmann and Ennio Morricone. Starring and created by Cantwell it also features Jennifer Dohn as Connie’s precious cat, “Vickie”, and a special guest appearance by Kelly Mantle (the worst contestant EVERY on "RuPaul's Drag Race") as the revenge crazed “Bambi”. The filmed portions of "Love, Connie" were directed by Michael Bodie, produced by Loretta Ramos and executive produced by Bryan Fuller. This revamped version of the show is staged by Jim Fall who previously worked with Cantwell (and Connie) in "Connie Loves Juice", "Connie & Juice in Desperately Seeking Vickie" (also featureing Dohn) and "Fade To Connie". They are currently collaborating on "Fade 2 Connie: The Roxy Files" which will debut at The Cavern Club in April.
Connie Slocum (aka Love Connie) is a high-kicking, hirsute, flashdancer who's mission is to rock an audience with her wild choreography and sexy poses . When a nemesis from Connie’s past threatens to derail her show by putting her beloved pussycat and co-star, Vickie, in jeopardy, Connie has to fight and dance to the death in order to rescue the cat she loves more than life itself. Fear and cheer for Connie in this non-stop, 80's pop, psycho-slasher, dance-a-thon!
