Fubar (Closed Permanently)

(121 Ratings)
NYC's East Village meets West Hollywood
You'll find loud music blaring and edgy twenty/thirty-somethings at this popular and casual spot. Some theme night are more "dirty" than others.

For those in need of some anti-glam

Fubar is a great antidote for the more upscale, glamorous WeHo clubs, with a proud dive-bar attitude. No super-muscle boys here, just the everyday boys next door. Yet there's something a little cold and observational about the place. Definitely a 'local' bar, and the crowd are not as outgoing as some. Still a good night out, particularly if you're looking for something a little quieter and grungier.

fun local bar

Went to Fubar on a Friday night. had a fun time. Drinks are expensive at $11, but they do pack a wicked punch, so drink slow :) Music was good, crwod was friendly and having a good time. Some sexy go go dancers most of the night. Will def go back if I get to LA again.

Fun with low expectations

Fubar owns its less-than-glam attitude, and if you're in the mood for a hot, sweaty, cramped, dark bar, it's great! Thursday nights are a must see for out of town visitors.

Dancing?

Seemed a lot more like a cruise bar to me. I went on Saturday and they had some hardcore porn projected on to the wall along with some gogo boys in jock straps. I'm a fan of both, but I was looking for a place to dance and felt a bit cheated for spending $10 to get me and a friend in there. I guess I should have done a bit more research beforehand.
