The place to be seen in WeHo

The large complex of indoor and outdoor areas has multiple bars, a plethora of candles, large fireplaces and comfy booths to enjoy sophisticated mixed drinks. Expect large weekend crowds.

The typical Weho bar

Expensive. They charge you a fortune for a bottle of water? I got it for free at more sophisticated and pleasant places. Stop pretending! ð

Tourist Trap for Straight Gawkers

This bar and it's owner Mr. Cooley are an insult to the Gay Community and to Diversity. They call themselves a Gay bar but they cater to White straight people under 30. They charge a fortune for watered down drinks. The TV Show, "What Happens at the Abbey" (E!) further insults and proves this point with a cast of White Straight people who barely speak English properly and act like morons further insults our community. Mr. Cooley forgets who made him the money from his tiny Gay coffee shop to build this bar. The fact that he would allow it to be depicted on this awful TV show is a testament to his desire to soak the Gay Community to the nines. He has even gone so far as to charge a twenty Dollar cover over Gay Pride. If you are Gay, and have any dignity you will boycott this disgraceful business.

Where are the men?

this place is more light than actual thunder... Staring by the fact that there are too many women (and not the lesbian ones) bu tthe real annoying loud asexual ones who go there for... God knows what reason i guess they try to aoid having to suck their boyfriends as much as possible and hanging with the gays make them feel liberated some how... and on the other hand you have the "straight" guys trying hard not to be confused with gay one sand making every one uncomfortable, I eman, if I go to a gay bar i want to be sure I am spotting potential lays and not havign to play the guessing game. For that i go to Saint Patricks on a Sunday... Gays should have places exclusively for gays. the abbey should make a specific day for straights, like a Monday? and the rest of the week leave it to the guys. Little by little we are being pushed out of our neighborhoods and now our bars... Cute place but not all that
