A decent bathhouse

This is a decent bathhouse. Part of the Flex chain of bathhouses, it's not nearly as grand as the Flex in Cleveland, but it does have the usual amenities. Lockers, rooms, a full gym, video lounges, showers, etc. There is also a very nice outdoor area with a pool and jacuzzi. The water in the pool was a bit cold for my taste, but the jacuzzi was very nice warm temperature and had some very strong jets. Parking shouldn't be an issue as they have their own parking lot. Parts of the club have been recently renovated it appears, but overall it's a bit tired and worn -- however it's relatively clean. On the Friday afternoon that I visited, there were more than enough folks in the club for me to enjoy myself. The clientelle was mostly middle aged (30-50ish). Of all the bathhouses I visited in Los Angeles, I ended up having the most fun at Flex.

times have changed

gay men no longer depend on bathhouses and adult video parlors to hook up. with the decrease in business you would think bath owners would dedicate more time and energy to providing a better experience for customers. flex isnt the worst but its not the best. go to the hollywood spa.

half and half

Nice place, but not what I expected. Hot tub and pool are nice and maintained. For a Wednesday night, not much going on. Mostly older guys.

Sad place

An overwhelming number of visitors note that if you like expensive rates for no service and often curtailed facilities, Flex is for you. Flex has been going downhill for years and the flow of patrons has slowed to a trickle for good reason. The help is surly, vindictive, petulant and cliquish. Get the picture? Dont ask questions or expect the amenities to actually be operational. Your task is to pay and try to withstand the bad attitudes and paranoid accusations even the most respectful customer is sure to receive from the help. Its a shame to have to set all this down, but its the truth and patrons need to be forewarned. Surely this business could treat its few remaining customers better. One runs into no end of former patrons, and its easy to get horror stories about Flex from them.

While Flex LA has been in business for some time and has its share of bumps and bruises, it's a place where anyone, any shape, size or age can come and feel at home. In fact, all of the bathhouses in LA have their strengths and weaknesses. Criticism of the place, it staff and management, are a complete 180 of my own personal experience. and keep in mind, flex has hundreds of men each day. it would be great if those men took pride in the ability to have the establishment in LA, pitching in and causing less dirt and damage. We are gay men. Your attitude is to force gay or straight businesses our of business is lunacy. well, this is our neighborhood, lost jobs and businesses hurt us all. why don't you try and be a part of the solution, otherwise, please do us all a favor and go back to the straight world.
