A WeHo institution
The French Quarter serves a largely gay clientele, and has a fun and social vibe. Open for all three meals of the day (and late night), there's always a crowd and always good food to be had.

      Good. Used to be Better
It's been a couple years since I've been here. I was surprised there were not more people. The food wasn't as good either. This used to be one of my favorite places, so it's very disappointing.

    • Great Food AWSOME!!!!!

Enjoyable spot, ok service & food
I had a nice brunch here with friends. The patio is really the only option, the indoor space is made to look like a fake New Orleans courtyard, not so nice. The food was good, but not great and the service was slow. The highlights were gay clientele all around on the patio and good weather.

Outdoor patio with vehicle noise and their exhaust fumes YUK.
I used to think this place was the crem de la crem. Not so anymore. Food takes for ever, and the inattentive servers killed it for me.

      Breakfast YAY! Dinner NAY!
I have been coming here off and on for about eighteen years and I always find that breakfast/brunch here is good but dinner food at least in my opinion is not so great. Basically if you're looking for a tasty place for breakfast that has great outdoor seating for people watching to start your day come here.

Gathering point for the Gays still..
This place is an institution, not sure how long they've been around but when I first landed in LA some 30 yrs ago they were a hopping place. It still has its attraction which is good inexpensive food and some eye candy every once and a while. The parking lot is not huge but definitely helps since parking is not great in this area. Also has shops that line around the restaurant on the inside.

An Old Standard in West Hollywood
Many other great cafe restaurants have gone by the wayside, but French Quarter stands strong in the community. I always enjoy the chinese chicken salad. The portion is huge (always enough to take home for a later meal) and the dressing is just the right mix of sweet and sour. Add in the crunchy noodles and the sweet apricot on top and it's a dish to be loved. Combine it with their famous carrot cake muffin and you have a meal that can't be beat. The decor is that of a french bistro and the wait staff are usually quite attentive and pleasant. I love how they keep the ice tea glass full too.

A casual cafe with a twist.
Regular customers like to gather here. Mixed crowd, mainly gay, brings that cozy-casual ambience for any group size, resembling a french cafe. The menu has something for everybody and every appetite: from a good selection of salads and soups to a little more elaborated entrée with a twist. Don’t expect anything sophisticated, but you can have a decent and enjoyable meal on a budget. Staff is always friendly and cordial.

      Very Popular Gay Hangout
This restaurant is located in the French Market Place on ultra-gay Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. I'm not sure what the hours are here, but it seems like the French Quarter is always open. Saturday nights are VERY busy and lots of fun. The clientele is almost exclusively gay. A small adjacent parking lot has space for a limited number of cars. Lunch/dinner food is stuff like burgers, salads, chicken dishes... nothing extraordinary, but always very tasty and dependable. And not expensive either.
