Gay Day
Spent one day in wehoo and my gay boyfriend and i wanted to go get a massage at the Egyptian massage and we came across a fun bar called Gym Sportsbar. It was really packed during the day. We meet a lot of friendly lgbt friends there. Bar tenders are absolutely gorgeous and nice. They know how to pour you a nice Tokyo Tea! I highly recommend to come here on a day when you want to meet new friends and have a great time.
Obnoxious
Very little bar, so it can be tricky to snag a seat. And forget about enjoying your drink. Lesbians screaming at the television when some women's basketball players score, Then, not wanting to be outdone by the lesbians, the faggots start yelling at the screen with football on it, even though nothing happened. Very annoying.
good spot to catch a game!
visited on a night when the local gay volleyball team was presenting season awards. the boys were VERY friendly, ages vary, warm hot and handsome! drink specials most nights, 2 fers, before and after most televised games. a small bar by sorts, but overall most gay guys and sports mix like oil + water! if you like sports minded men, check it out!!!!
Great addition to WeHo
Cute staff who are really fun. Best idea for happy hour. Currently it's from 4-8, and then again from I think 10-12. It's two for one for almost all drinks. They give you a token, and you can keep it to use during any happy hour. Keeps you coming back! Gets packed during games. Wish they would buy the old Numbers upstairs and put in a dancefloor like the NYC one. Or one more bar in that complex would be a great way to draw the boys down a few blocks.
Best place to watch games - or the guy next to you
If you like sports and/or guys that like sports, Gym is definitely the place to go. It's a small and awkward space, but it only gets really full for big games. Outdoor patio is great for people watching, and the 2:1 Happy Hour is great - you get a chip good for your second drink, redeemable that night or any other time. Older crowd than most WeHo spots, and a little more scruffy. One of my favorites here in LA.
