MJ's (Closed Permanently)

(54 Ratings)
Cruise dance bar with studly crowd
Every night at MJ's may be a different theme, but the dirty fun is always guaranteed. Tuesday's long-running Rim Job is as popular as ever, while Thursday's Middle Eastern night (Club Nur) and Fresh Meat Fridays are stealing away some of the crowd from WeHo.

Fun dirty alternative

MJ's is totally a nice refreshing break from Weho. Hot guys, good music...big space....not sure how I felt about the 'foam party', but there WAS a shot boy in a portable jacuzzi out back in undies! Good times.

More attitude than a teenager!

I at one time liked this bar, but it has grown increasingly terrible. The hold the line at the door when it isn't even full inside to make it look more popular. Staff are not all nice, some downright rude. I think every time I have been here I have heard someone make a complaint about WeHo or "WeHo guys", when acutally I see more label whores and rudeness at MJ's than 95% of WeHo bars. Space is cramped, they built the bar too wide, can't really get through the one side. Flow being bad, you are sure to be bumped, cocktails always spilled, and hardly ever an apology. I find it to be one of the rudest gay bars in LA.

A great alternative to Weho

They have great theme nights, hot go-go boys and friendly bartenders. A great alternative to the Weho clone scene. Catch it at the right time and you can even find a hot guy or two wandering by. Raunchy, unpretentious, and a good time!

I will not go back there

It was my first time at the Club/bar on a Saturday night this summer. The music was slow and VERY repetitive, which made the feeling dull and time passed so slowly. The crowd was mostly older folks in their 30's-60's. Although, the club was themed good, it was themed for the older folks and for a younger crowd, I say, "Skip it." on a Saturday. Just go to West Hollywood instead.
