Dear Friend, Family, and Ally:

1000 BLACK LGBT MARCH FOR KING is a historic coalition of nearly 50 Black Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender trailblazers, community groups based in the Los Angeles area.

Joined by our families, friends and allies we proudly march unified under one umbrella to celebrate and honor the great work of Dr. King.

We are seeking 1000 Black LGBT members of our community to respond to the call sent out by trailblazer, Jewel Thais-Williams, to proudly march with us in the Los Angeles Kingdom Day Parade on Saturday, January 19, 2013.

“Pieces Of The Dream: Fulfilled" is the theme of our first float and at it's helm is the extraordinary Archbishop Carl Bean, co-founder of Unity Fellowship Church and renowned female illusionist, Sir Lady Java.

This is a piece of Black LA LGBT history not to be missed.

There are many ways to show your support:
· Spread the word among your networks and solicit volunteers,
· Send black representatives or contingent to march with our community in the parade,
· Allow us to use your name as an official endorser for 1000 Black LGBT at the march,
· Donate as a sponsor (make checks payable to: “The Village Health Foundation”). Send to 4067 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90019
