Martin Luther King UU Choir Festival


Free concert. Open to the Public.

9 choirs from 9 Unitarian Universalist churches in the Los Angeles area come together to create a musical celebration of the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Main Organizer DeReau Farrar from the Unitarian Universalist Community Church of Santa Monica
Participating UU Churches from Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Thousand Oaks, Long Beach, Canoga Park, Santa Clarita, Pasadena, Studio City, and Anaheim.

The evening includes individual numbers from each choir, words and readings, and a combined choir number directed by Stephen Grimm from Neighborhood Church to close the show.

Parking at First Church is extremely limited. Please consider riding the Red Line subway to the Vermont/Wilshire station and then walking three blocks to the church.

The 8th street sidewalk, directly to the east of the church is currently closed due to construction of the Caroline Severance Manor. Please use crosswalks and be safe.
