The thirteenth annual Gay Days Anaheim will be held October 1-3 at the Disneyland Resort! Join 35,000 other revelers as we turn the happiest place on earth into the gayest with stuff for singles, couples, families, ladies, bears and all kinds of Mouseketeers. We'll have scavenger hunts, a huge group photo, a family luncheon, Tiki dancing, a big gay brunch, couples dinner and three big parties:
Wonderland: Our Friday night kick-off benefiting The Trevor Project. DJ Ray Rhodes spins while hosts Alec Mapa and Momma make you welcome. And this year there's a costume contest!
Kingdom, presented by Las Vegas: Our centerpiece party featuring DJ Kimberly S and performances by Jenifer Lewis and American Idol's LaKisha Jones! Ugly Betty'ss Ana Ortiz and Alec Mapa host.
Plunge!: Our brand new pool party at The Anabella Hotel! DJ Zach Moos, Undergear fashion show and some bathing beauties!
Go to www.GayDaysAnaheim.com for a complete schedule and to buy VIP packages, discounted park tickets, discounted hotel rooms and the official Gay Days Anaheim T-shirt.
See ya on the Matterhorn!
Like the Orlando event, Gay Days Anaheim is a "mix in," meaning gay people and straight people mingle together; the park is open to the general public. Also like Orlando's Gay Day, we wear RED shirts to identify one another and show our numbers.
The first Gay Days Anaheim in 1998 attracted about 2,500 people. In 2007, for the 10th annual event, we had about 30,000! Pretty amazing. What was once a small one-day gathering has become a full weekend event with parties, gatherings, group photos, scavenger hunts, private meals, and much more!
Remember, this event isn't presented by Disneyland (hence why it's "unofficial") so if you call Disneyland asking for information about Gay Day, they will tell you that this is not a Disney event.
